Kalithea Information

Kallithea Springs are located along the coastal road just a few kilometres before Faliraki. Kallithea Spa was built in 1920 by the Italians during their rule of the island; it was recently renovated and reopened in the summer 2007. Walking down the mosaic pebbled staircase or through the beautiful arcades, you find yourself in front of an oriental dome, which used to host sulphurous springs that were famous for its healing qualities. It is this dome and the adjoining larger rotunda that make up the main part of this parklike spa complex. The little bay is lined with palm trees and the sandy beach attracts many visitors with its calm and crystal clear waters. You can relax on one of the sunbeds, have a meal or drink at the cafe/restaurant or even go snorkeling or diving. The atmosphere is truly idyllic and the experience unforgettable, combining both culture and natural beauty.
